you a Veteran? Do you know a veteran?
Did you know Veterans are eligible for Chiropractic Services through the VA? I regularly receive authorizations from the VA for chiropractic care which is great but I know there are a lot that do not know they could be referred to me. They sometimes come to me before they get authorized and that's fine, we can start without it but there is no reimbursement from the VA. Once the authorization is approved, the VA takes over as a 3rd party payer and there is no out-of-pocket expense to the veteran. I regularly have conversations with veterans or family members of veterans and explain to them there is a process to getting an authorization. First thing is to see your PCP (primary care physician) and let them know you are interested. Chiropractic is not always recommended but can often help with many conditions. Then there is yet another entity, currently TRI-WEST, that will actually send the authorization to my clinic and set up the initial visit. This can take some time so the sooner the better. On the Veterans Help Page is a PDF file that can be downloaded and printed. This file has my information to make it easy to request a veteran chiropractor.
